It is one of the most industrialized states of Country, and is considered to be the current growth engine of Country, with the city of Gurugram rapidly emerging as a major hub for the IT sector and automobile industries. Gurugram is home to Maruti Udyog, Country's largest automobile manufacturer, and Hero-Honda, the world's largest manufacturer of two wheelers. Faridabad, Panchkula and Panipat are also industrial hubs, with the Panipat Refinery Haryana being the second largest refinery in South Asia. There are also long established steel and textile industries in the Haryana state.
HARYANA is a state in India. It is bordered by Himachal Pradesh & Punjab to the north, and by Rajasthan to the south & west. Eastern border to Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand is defined by river Yamuna. State also surrounds Delhi on three sides, forming the northern, southern & western borders of National Capital. Consequently, a large area of Haryana is included in the NCR. The capital of Haryana is Chandigarh, which is administered as a UT. Haryana means Hari+ayana, Hari mean God Vishnu, Ayana mean Home (Home of God Vishnu), although it may also refer to the lush green landscape of the state.
